AEIF 2014 First Haitian winner welcomes Anastazyia in Haiti

In preparation for the launch of the training phase of the AEIF 2014 Empower Haitian Women project, Anastazyia Vareschi, international team coordinator, arrived in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on Saturday 28^th, 2015.

The team wasted no time, scheduling a meeting that evening of project founder, Doudly Elius, also AEIF 2014 First Haitian winner and project members: Gaelle Pierre, founder of “Femmes Autonomes”, Rock Andre, the President of CEDEL Haiti, and Guy-Luce Fenelon, EHW Grants & Strategic Plan Manager. All of them met at Pétion-ville’s Pot’iwa Pizza. Key project tasks were finalized with regard to training logistics and publicity. The team also discussed long-term project goals related to spreading the impact of EHW’s objective to empower Haitian women living with disabilities through business skills training.

While gaining better insight into the unique challenges and opportunities of community development in Port-au-Prince, Anastazyia is thrilled to be contributing to the important work of increasing empowerment and autonomy among Haitian women living with disabilities.
